• We have identified changes to improve the customer experience with serial (RS232) devices for how the port is accessed and the settings are used included a change in how serial ports are configured. [CSPA-535, CSPA-546]
  • NOTE: It is a recommendation to migrate to USB HID compliant scales as continued support of legacy ports in currently supported Windows OS and PCs have sought to eliminate COM/serial connections. It is also important that scale manufacturers have ceased support for deprecated hardware.
• The Configure button when Adding or Editing a peripheral has been removed. Instead, the functionality to set scale Serial port settings; Baud, Parity, Data bits and Stop Bits has been replaced with the Properties button in the TPE Setup list of configured peripherals.
• In 23.4.2.003 a change to remove the configure button for scale ports was changed to add a properties button did not include this button for the Detecto AS/400/AS420 [CSPA-546] (Hotfix 1)

• In 23.4.1.000 it was possible that printing a FedEx Ground Hazmat package could result in a Timeout waiting for peripherals error when Wait for peripherals to complete was enabled in Record Package Setup. [CSPA-525]

• In prior versions UPS Third Party Billing for international shipment might display the Bill Third Party Account/Address window would appear if the XBILLCTRY was not sent in uppercase. In the process of addressing this issue, it was noted that in the case where XUSE_PAY was “3” before the International Screen appeared when there were no records in the international shipment file yet, Clippership would not show the special service on the International screen check box and not upon exiting this screen until the shipment is rated a second time, either by changing other special services or recording the packages. This has also been addressed.[CSPA-534]
• In a prior version the UPS Hazmat Shipping Papers Windows Driver the offsets to align the form properly to the printer was not being used. This has been corrected so that the panels will now print according to the desired user settings. [CSPA-551] (Hotfix 1)

• UPS Mail Innovations labels for destinations with ZIP+4 addresses, the Data Matrix 2D barcode was incorrectly formatted and did not include the last digit of the expanded ZIP Code, but this was present in the human readable portion of the label. [CSPA-523] (Hotfix 1)
