To upgrade an existing installation, log all users out of Clippership, and run the installation from one workstation.

• In prior releases this year, the Clippership Peripheral Engine has been upgraded to support some sizing options, where available, due to UPS requirements to support 4×4 labels. As part of this an architectural review and compliance with modern coding standards and Microsoft Windows operating system access have led to deprecation of legacy drivers. As a result this version of Clippership cannot be used with an older Peripheral Engine and old DLLs from prior systems for those drivers will not be read for use.

• Upon upgrade startup of the first post 23.1 release . Clippership will attempt to upgrade peripheral choices. A screen may appear and report that not all peripherals could be replaced and that a user will need to review this for the workstation profiles and possibly assign new peripherals and port names. This will need to be done with a login that uses that profile. This is due to an overhaul of the system and how it reads ports and deprecated devices.
  • Deprecated drivers will not be updated.
  • The Windows Image Driver is not supplied and may not see further development. If this is being used please contact support with information on it's use.

• In addition to UPS compliance changes, 23.3 also supports FedEx FSMS and the change from FedEx SmartPost to Ground Economy. Although it is not required in this release, shippers are highly encouraged to contact their Clippership supplier to upgrade FSMS and then update the FedEx phase to take advantage of this service and also to be on FedEx's latest supported Server platform.

• Please reference the Version 23.1.0, Version 23.3.0 and Fixes from 23.3.0.00X Releases.

• With Version 22.0.2.000, BluJay Parcel reverted to Clippership® branding. The Help File will continue to be updated in this release.

• The U.S. Postal Service rate changes, service enhancements and zone updates for January 2024 (effective January 21, 2024) are supported in this release. Remember, before anyone uses Clippership on January 21, 2024, all users must be logged out of Clippership.
• The U.S. Postal Service has merged Parcel Select Lightweight and Parcel Select Destination Entry into a single service Parcel Select Destination Entry, in this release P44 will remain the internal code that is used for the merged service, it supports weights up to 15.999 oz rated per ounce, and up to 70 lbs. per pound thereafter. Using P53 will result in an error “As of 01/21/2024, the internal code 'P53' for 'Parcel Select Lightweight Presort' is not a valid United States Postal Service code. 'USPS Parcel Select DNDC' 'P44' is the suggested alternative.”
