This has led to increased delays and unresolved holds, particularly when contact information is missing. To mitigate these issues and improve shipment resolution efficiency, UPS is implementing a new policy that calls for both shipper and receiver email addresses to be included with international shipments subject to customs clearance. The following changes will apply: * Shipper e-mail address and receiver e-mail address fields should be made available for all international shipments * Shipper phone number and receiver phone number remain required (no change) To prevent delays or returns impacting the UPS network, UPS reserves the right to take action (including potential account suspension) for any Shippers with import shipment holds that cannot be resolved due to missing contact information. In order to support this requirement Clippership has added support to capture these e-mail addresses for use with international shipment processing in the following ways: * Default * Shipper e-mail address default - This will be sent in the PLD unless the user overrides this during shipping. This is configured in UPS Communication Configuration * Exporter e-mail address default - This will be sent in the PLD unless the user overrides this during shipping. This is configured in UPS Communication Configuration * Customer e-mail address - This is configured in the Customer file. This is a different field than Ship Alert/Notification fields to allow a recipient to have an e-mail address specifically for Customs use. * This can be populated by automation via a new variable/field in the Detail file, **RECV_EMAIL**. * Real-time shipping * Customer e-mail address - This can be edited in special services for shippers not using the built in customer file, or using that field and also populated by automation via a new variable/field in the Detail file, **RECV_EMAIL**. * This allows the recipient to have a separate e-mail address for Customs instead of for tracking notifications. * Shipper e-mail address - This can be edited in special services for shippers that have not setup a default or needs to be customized per shipment, or using that field and also populated by automation via a new variable/field in the Detail file, **SHPR_EMAIL**. * Per Shipment Exporter e-mail address - Enter Exporter e-mail address in the Importer/Exporter Information dialog box while processing an international UPS shipment. * This allows the recipient to have a separate e-mail address for Customs instead of for tracking notifications. * By default, Clippership will use the default Exporter e-mail address. If no Exporter information is setup in UPS Communication Configuration, then the shipper email address default will be used. * This can be populated by automation via Parcel Integrate via a new field listed in UPS International Shipment Level Data **EXP_EMAIL**. * Per Shipment Importer e-mail address - Enter Importer e-mail address in the Importer/Exporter Information dialog box while processing an international UPS shipment. * This can be populated by automation via Parcel Integrate via a new fields listed in UPS International Shipment Level Data **IMP_EMAIL**. "[CSPA-1033] * Additional character filtering of PLD fields has been added to shipment and package reference fields and per package "Attention" part of destination addresses.[CSPA-1164] * An issue creating the "Emergency PLD", AUF, has been addressed.[CSPA-1144] ==== US Postal Service ==== === Modified === * The U.S. Postal Service Temporary price change and zone updates for 2025 Holiday Shipping Season (effective Oct 5, 2025) are supported in this release. Remember, before anyone uses e2open Clippership on Oct 5, 2025, all users must be logged out of e2open Clippership and USPS carriers must be closed and reports printed. On January 18, 2026, the rates that were in effect prior to October 5, 2025 would be put back in place.
